Welcome to Second Attention, a meditation and brainwave entrainment app developed by Vayu Labs, Inc. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Second Attention mobile and web applications, services, and content (“the Service”).

By using Second Attention, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Overview

Second Attention is a self-guided meditation app that combines brainwave entrainment audio with real-time EEG feedback from supported devices. It is designed for educational and personal development purposes only. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any health condition.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Second Attention. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Account and Login

To use Second Attention, you must sign in with your Google account. We collect and store your email address to associate your usage with your account. If you choose to delete your account, you may contact us at hello@vayulabs.com and we will process your request promptly. In-app account deletion will be supported in future versions.

4. Data Collection and Use

We collect the following types of data:

• Your email address (via Google login)

• EEG session data collected from your device

• Responses to onboarding and post-session surveys

Your data is used to generate personalized insights and summaries within the app. It is stored securely in our backend (Supabase) and is never sold or shared with third parties. Aggregated, anonymized data may be used to improve app functionality and research meditation trends.

5. Health and Safety Notice

Second Attention is not a substitute for mental health treatment or medical care. If you have a neurological condition, epilepsy, or are under psychiatric care, consult a healthcare provider before using this app.

Do not use the app while driving or operating heavy machinery. Brainwave entrainment may affect alertness, perception, or emotional sensitivity.

6. Future Paid Features

The app is currently free. Future versions may offer premium features through Apple In-App Purchases. All payments, subscriptions, and refund policies will comply with Apple’s standard policies.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, protocols, audio, branding, and session logic are the property of Vayu Labs, Inc. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without permission.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the app or attempt to interfere with its functionality or access it in unauthorized ways. Abuse of the platform may result in account suspension.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you in-app or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes go into effect means you agree to the updated Terms.
